Types of Solar Systems

When it comes to Solar and how it is installed, there are many factors involved and different types of systems that work better in some installation vs others. The three main categories are grid-tie, off-grid and hybrid. For most the grid-tie option works the best and is typically the cheapest. Hybrid systems are becoming more popular since they have batteries and can power loads in an outage along with utilizing more solar energy for those that don't have net metering.
